A look at the PWS workshop in January 2020



Mark Gibbons....

Mark gave us some insight into how he approaches painting colours in landscapes, especially relating to the time of day. For instance the colours used for the sky, and for shadow areas, (most notably in clouds), will vary according to whether it is noon on a bright sunny day, a cloudy day, or around sunset or sunrise.

We were able to see these 'rules' used in his rendering of landscapes, and we set to work to paint landscapes in different light conditions....
